Fatigue I find is one of the greatest factures in both careless and unsuccessful
hunting. Falling asleep on your stand on even worse being so tired you start seeing
stick animals all contribute to coming home empty handed as well as putting you
at risk. Traveling for miles to get to your favorite hunting spot only to find someone
else is there first is not a pleasant way to start your hunt. Traveling for miles
in a heated vehicle coming into to your favorite area lights a blaring, engine a
clanging and stuff rattling around just doesn’t seem like a great place to start
for me. Waking up minutes away from your stand in comfort and silence is I believed
one of the most relaxing and rewarding things you can do. Easily towed behind any
full size pick-up this Portable Camp on wheels can be pulled any where a pick-up
can go. Field tried tested and marketed for over 10 years now the need for Great
Walls, Prospector tents and lean-to’s are over. This camp can be easily assembled
in less then three hours |
Like Tom Huggler says in his article the Great Wall
“On the Michigan U.P. deer hunt years ago my dad and I would have thought of a shelter
like that was the Ritz-Carton”
The plans are for a portable, solid-wall cabin complete with three windows and a
door,
hard roof, dozen bunks, Kitchen area and solid floor built two feet off the ground
resting
on the trailer that tows it all inclusive.
Materials to self-build the 15 x 21 foot fold-out camp and the 7 x 21 trailer which
is part of the camp,
and the user never removes the camp from it cost about $3,000.00.
Now You can do it in your spare time. We will show you just how easy it is:
- To build the trailer
- To construct the hard walls, solid roof and floor
- To construct this design out of common building materials
- To insulate your camp
- To heat and light your camp
- To construct the kitchen work surface
- To construct the steps, bunks and other accessories
- To fold the trailer out to a 315 sqft shelter
- To build your portable camp to pull behind a pickup (requires a 2” ball hitch)
- To set up and break down your camp in 2-3 hours to stay high, dry, warm and comfortable
on all your future outings.

I remember the first time I was told about Camp Comfort. We were going about 18
hrs north to stay in what I considered God’s country. However, without the proper
accommodations things could get nasty really quick. When I was told I was going
to be staying in a make shift camp with a tarp for the roof, I was less then in
trolled. All I can say is, whoever put this camp together was really thinking. They
didn’t miss a trick and believe you me forget one thing in this project and you
could be in for a big surprise. Congratulation your camp put us where the action
was and it was one of my most member able hunts. Well worth the effort and money.
Thanks,
Tim Function

Traveling for hours to get to our hunting location just didn’t make sense to me.
It seemed like we spent more time in our vehicles then in the field. However, there
was no alternative until one of my buddies discovered the plans for Camp Comfort.
We purchased the plans, built the camp and the next year I was in paradise minutes
away from my stand. I was setup ready to go. As I sat their in the silence, I could
hear the diesels coming over the hill and see the lights from the trucks in the
skyline. There is no telling how great I felt, knowing we were first to our stands
and that the pendulum of success had swung in our favor, big time. Thanks to Camp
Comfort, my hunting experience is what I always dreamt it would be. Staying out
in the woods, minutes away from the action. In fact one year there were tracks right
outside our front door,
Really pleased,

Receiving an invitation from some of my friends to go hunting with this other group
of hunters, who had this portable camp, to say in the least was intriguing. Working
in the construction business and having to look at structural designs all day, I
was curious as to how they would attain this feat. Keeping the camp portable enough
to travel yet strong enough to with stand the harsh winds of November. Snow, rain,
wind, cold and even heat are all elements that have to be considered. To say I was
impressed would be an under statement. It was the simplicity yet the thought that
was put into the design.
Grateful Hunter,
